Highest security for your data and patient records
Your patient health data, clinic information and statistics are our top priority. From the very beginning, the system was not designed with high security in mind. We use cloud technology to ensure that your data is stored on our secure servers, accessible only after passing through several levels of authentication. The system does not track and record every action and request to ensure complete protection. Additionally, your data is encrypted, meaning that only you have access to it and no one else can read it.
Roles and Permissions
Medentic has an easy and secure system of roles and access rights. This means that each user sees and uses only what they need – no more, no less. This reduces the risk of errors or unwanted access to data, and your information remains protected.

Medentic keeps track of everything users do, based on their roles. This means we and you know who did what and when. By having this detailed record, we can make sure everyone is using the system responsibly and catch anything that looks unusual or unsafe. It helps keep the system secure and fair for everyone.
Data Security
Medentic safeguards your data with a multi-layered approach. Strong encryption protects your data during storage and transfer, ensuring it’s secure at all times. Role-based permissions allow only authorized users to access what they need, when they need it. Continuous monitoring tracks system activity to detect and prevent unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.

Limited Risk
Cloud providers, like AWS, assume full responsibility for securing data and minimizing the risks of theft or unauthorized access.
Data Loss Prevention
Cloud solutions ensure fast recovery from data loss, theft, or ransomware attacks, offering resilience that desktops cannot match.
Regular Security Updates
Cloud platforms automatically deploy updates to patch vulnerabilities, protecting against threats like zero-day exploits.
Advanced Access Controls
Cloud solutions offer robust authentication options, including MFA and role-based access, ensuring only authorized individuals can access your data.
Why choose a cloud solution over a desktop?
We often get questions from customers about whether desktop solutions provide better protection than cloud storage. These questions are often based on the incorrect assumption that data in the cloud is easily accessible for abuse. In reality, however, data stored in the cloud is far better protected than data left on a computer in the clinic.
The cloud is not “out there” – it is a professional server located in a secure data center – we use Amazon Web Services (AWS). These centers are maintained by teams of specialists and receive daily software updates. This means that vulnerabilities discovered yesterday are now fixed today. In contrast, desktop software often goes without necessary updates for a long time, which puts your data at risk.
All data stored in the cloud is encrypted. This means that even if someone manages to gain access to the servers, the data is unreadable without the corresponding encryption key. For additional security, the decryption keys are stored separately from the data itself, which virtually eliminates the possibility of for unauthorized access.
Providers like AWS invest billions of dollars in security technologies, including protection against hacker attacks, DDoS attacks, and physical threats. These are resources and expertise that your clinic would be hard-pressed to provide on its own if it relied solely on desktop solutions.
Desktop solutions are often left on local computers that:
- Are not regularly updated, leaving the software vulnerable to attacks.
- Are not maintained by IT professionals, which increases the likelihood of configuration errors.
- Are at risk of physical access or theft, which can lead to data loss.
- Can be used by unauthorized individuals without the administrator's knowledge.
Cloud solutions offer a level of security that significantly exceeds the capabilities of local computers. By using encryption, automatic updates, and a professional infrastructure, your data is protected at the highest level.

With Medentik, you can add all your team members, at no additional cost. Everyone gets an individual role and personalized access, eliminating the need for shared passwords. This not only adds transparency about everyone's actions in the system and increases personal accountability, but also significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to clinic and patient data.
By including your entire team in a secure system, you ensure that information stays inside, without being exposed to unnecessary risks outside.
