Overview

Nonsurgical treatment of uncontrolled periodontal disease in a quadrant with at least three teeth that have clinical attachment loss ≥3 mm and periodontal pockets ≥4 mm. Treatment includes mechanical removal of biofilm and calculus, including subgingival instrumentation, and procedures described in [97111-00], [97114-00], and [97242-00] for the appropriate quadrant. Additional codes such as [97113-01] and [97131-00] may be added as needed.
